There’s just something about spring strawberries that makes everything feel a little brighter. Once they start showing up, in their sweet, juicy, perfectly red form, I can’t help but add them to everything. From simple breakfasts to desserts and fresh spring salads, they’re kind of the easiest way to make any recipe feel extra special.
So today I’m sharing some of my favorite strawberry recipes to make the most of the season. Whether you’re baking something sweet for the weekend or just looking for a fresh, easy way to use up a carton (or two), there are so many good ones here.
It’s kind of wild right now. I’m in Miami, where it’s eighty degrees, sunny, and already feeling like summer. Meanwhile, up in the mountains of Colorado, they’ve still had days of snow. I have to say, I’m very happy to not be dealing with that cold, slushy spring weather this year.
Instead, I’ve been so inspired by all the fresh strawberries right now. They’re everywhere—piled high in the grocery stores and lining the rows at the farmers market—and they’re just so good this time of year.
When I first thought about what to share today, I had a bunch of new ideas. But I already have so many strawberry recipes I love and keep coming back to. So instead of creating something new, I thought it would be fun to bring some of those back.
With so many recipes shared over the years, I really want to make more of an effort to revisit and highlight the favorites that shouldn’t be forgotten. Below you’ll find my best spring and summer strawberry recipes—mostly sweet, but with a few savory ideas mixed in too.
